What is a live opening hours widget?
It's a block on your website that shows your venue's published opening hours and calculates a current open-or-closed status — including bank holidays and one-off closures — rather than static text someone has to remember to edit on the website.
How do I add opening hours to my restaurant or pub website?
Add Foldout's script tag to your site once, then set your hours in the dashboard. Later changes are dashboard edits: new page views update within a minute and untouched open widgets within two, with no CMS login.
Can it handle bank holidays and seasonal closures?
Yes. Set overrides for bank holidays, festive hours, seasonal shutdowns or a one-off closure, with a start and end. The widget shows the override automatically on the day and reverts on its own afterwards.
Can I show different kitchen and bar hours?
Yes — you can split services, so the kitchen can close while the bar stays open, and the widget shows both clearly. Late services that cross midnight are handled correctly too.
Will my customers always see the right hours?
Published changes normally reach new page views within a minute and untouched open widgets within two. If someone has interacted with a widget, it keeps their current state until reload.
