How to add widgets to a Squarespace site
Add the script tag in Code Injection
Go to Settings → Advanced → Code Injection and paste the Foldout snippet into the Header field. That loads Foldout across the whole site.
Drop a Code Block where the widget goes
Edit the page, add a Code Block where you want hours, menu or a form to appear, and paste the matching Foldout embed snippet. Position it like any other Squarespace block.

Change hours, swap the menu PDF or edit a form in Foldout — new page views update within a minute, with no need to re-enter the editor or re-publish.

Foldout on Squarespace — questions
How do I add a widget to Squarespace?
Add the Foldout script tag once via Settings → Advanced → Code Injection (Header), then place a Code Block on the page and paste the widget's embed snippet. The widget renders inside that block.
Do I need a Business plan for Code Injection?
Code Injection and Code Blocks are available on Squarespace's Business and Commerce plans. If you're on a lower tier, you'd need to upgrade to add custom code — that's a Squarespace requirement, not a Foldout one.
Can I show a PDF menu on Squarespace?
Yes. Foldout renders your uploaded PDF as a fast, swipeable mobile viewer inside a Code Block — far better than Squarespace's file-link approach, and you update it by uploading a new PDF in the dashboard.
Will the widgets match my Squarespace template?
Yes. The widgets inherit your fonts and colours and offer an appearance panel plus custom CSS, so they read as part of your template rather than an embed.
Can I keep my hours correct automatically?
Yes. Set your hours, bank-holiday overrides and closures in Foldout and the Squarespace block shows a live open/closed status — no manually editing text on the page.
