A restaurant menu widget that reads the file you already have
Upload the menu as a PDF, photo, Word document, text file or InCopy file. Foldout reads it into a structured draft for you to check, then publishes it as an accessible web menu, a mobile-friendly PDF, or both.

Foldout drafts
Small plates
Sections, dishes, prices and stated dietary details, ready to check. You publish; it never publishes itself.
A real web menu, without the transcription shift
Most venue menus live as a PDF designed for print, so the website ends up with a slow download, an unreadable image, or a retyped copy that drifts out of date. Foldout keeps the file you design and gives the website the structured version guests and search engines can actually read.
- Reads a PDF, photo, Word document, text file or InCopy file
- Sections, dishes, prices and stated dietary details become an editable draft
- Nothing publishes until you have checked the draft
- An accessible, screen-reader-friendly web menu, not an image of one
- A guest allergen toggle that filters the live menu
- Publish the web menu, a mobile-friendly PDF, or both together
- Dish text renders in your website's own typeface
- Every future change is an edit in the dashboard, not a website job
File in, checked draft out, menu live
Upload the file you have
The menu that came back from the printers, the chef's Word document, a photo of the specials sheet. Whatever exists, that is the input.
Check the structured draft
Foldout reads it into sections, dishes, prices and any dietary details the file states. You review and correct the draft; nothing invents itself.
Publish it everywhere it appears
The widget on your website carries the new menu from the next page view. Published changes normally reach new page views within a minute.
Need several menus with a button for each, or a downloadable file beside the web menu? That is the PDF menu widget, and the two work side by side.

Menu widget questions
How do I embed a menu on my restaurant website?
Paste Foldout's two-line embed where the menu should appear: one script tag plus one div. That works in any editor that accepts HTML, including WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Webflow and Elementor. From then on the menu is managed in the Foldout dashboard, not in the website editor.
Do I have to retype my menu to get it on the website?
No, that is the point of the import. Upload the PDF, photo, Word, text or InCopy file you already have and Foldout reads it into a structured draft: sections, dishes, prices and any dietary details the file states. You check the draft and correct anything it misread before publishing.
Is the menu accessible, or just an embedded image?
It is a real, structured web menu: headings, lists and text a screen reader can speak and a guest can search or zoom. That is also what search engines can read. A PDF or photo dropped onto a page gives guests none of that.
Can guests filter for allergens?
Yes. The live menu carries an allergen toggle, so a guest can filter to what suits them. It works from the dietary details you approved in the draft; the widget never guesses about allergens on its own.
Can I have a downloadable PDF as well as the web menu?
Yes. Publish the structured web menu, a mobile-friendly PDF, or both from the same widget. If you run several menu files with buttons for each, the separate PDF menu widget handles that layout.
How many menus can I import on the free plan?
The free plan includes five file imports a calendar month, which suits a venue updating a menu or two. Every paid plan has unlimited imports. Editing an already-imported menu never counts against the allowance.
